Don’t think you have anything to be thankful for? Think again. You are still alive, you can read, you have a roof over your head, you have clothes on your back, you have food to eat, etc. Something happens when you start being thankful. You start to see that life is not all that bad after all.

2. Go out and buy some new clothes or get a new hairdo. Pamper yourself. When you feel good about the way you look, you walk with your head up high and you will be smiling without even knowing it.

3. Do something nice for someone else. By giving to someone else, you will feel much better about yourself. Try it and see how it makes you feel.

4. Go out with friends and have a good time. Seek out ways to get out of the house and have some fun. This will keep you from falling back into the trap of feeling sorry for yourself. If you don’t want to go out all the time, engage in a favorite hobby. Keep yourself busy.
